The itinerary landscape

Destinations

Each trip threads plazas, distilleries, and ancient earthworks into one continuous story of Jalisco. Scroll the places we love to show first.

Pueblo Mágico

Tlaquepaque

Cobblestone corridors, papel picado overhead, equipales under hibiscus — this is our preferred home base. Courtyards for lingering, handcrafted ceramics and textiles, and evenings that spill into music and mole.

Expect market stalls of mole and spices, pulquerías with chile-rimmed cantaritos, and museum corners that turn a quiet afternoon into something you talk about for years.

Valle de Tequila

Tequila

Blue agave rows run to the volcano. We spend a full day in the valley — Fortaleza and neighboring distilleries — tasting with context: harvest, tahona, barrel, and the people who keep the craft honest.

La Perla Tapatía

Guadalajara

A day in Centro — cathedrals, plazas, and the city’s pulse. We leave room for mariachi that finds you mid-meal and for wandering the blocks where Jalisco’s capital still feels walkable and warm.

More photography from Centro will land here as trips unfold; for now, the soundtrack says enough.

Beyond the city

Guachimontones

Circular pyramids rise from green hills west of Guadalajara — a Teuchitlán tradition site unlike anything downtown. We schedule time for the walk, the overlooks, and the quiet that settles between the plazas.
